To,
The Chairman,
MIG Cricket Club,
Bandra –East, Mumbai.
Dear Sir,
I request you to provide information on the following points in the rescheduled AGM as and when the same is held.
- The Managing Committee should provide explanatory statements for change in the Club’s constitution. It is a common practice unless one wants to hide the intentions.
- Only after giving the explanatory statements, the EGM should be conducted.
- The Auditor has reported on non-accounting of the benefits from other clubs earlier taken over by us. Where the consideration paid for take-over of the clubs accounted? Pl explain. Why this fact was un-reported since last so many years?
- Does our Constitution provide for take over of other clubs? Please show the provisions. Please confirm ownership of MIG over these clubs.
- The Auditor should be removed as he did not report details of the other clubs so taken over earlier. He seems to have acted only at the instance of the managing committee members. We have lost confidence in him. He should be removed.
- I had objected to appointment of Mr. Nadkarni as Trustee in the last AGM as he had not submitted any declaration or affidavit that no criminal case is pending against him. Has he submitted it till now?
- How sub-committee members are selected? The Chairman should explain the basis for selection of the sub-committee members.
- The Club constitution provides for ‘Promotion of Culture’. Managing Committee should provide the considerations applied in selection of sub-committee members and cultural background of all the sub-committee members.
- Since the new F & B Committee is appointed, the food quality has gone down. I was sick after eating the salad. Same, when I ate samosas, my throat was badly affected.
- Why repeated names appear on different sub-committees? Are we short of good people who are willing to work as sub-committee members?
- Gym should have at least three hours exclusively for ladies. There should be one male and one lady attendant in the Gym.
- Since the last five years I suggested to expand the gym. I also suggested the ways it can be done. But the Management Committee is interested only in expanding the bar and restaurants.
- When we badly need additional badminton and squash court, why should we spend money on bar renovation, lobby renovation and new restaurants?
- Management Committee Member Mr. Pardhe had objected in full loud voice against the Ladies Night. Why had he organized Disco in the Club? Mr. Pardhe is appointed as a moral police for the Club?
- Why food item rates are increased? Batatawada now costs Rs. 21 plus taxes. The club pays for power bills, water bills etc. So why so much charge? The committee should explain why the rate is so high when the cost is only Rs. 3 – 4.
- Sales of all the restaurants and catering services is more than Rs. 1,00,000 per day. Why the club charge only Rs. 12,000 against it when the profit is more than 300-500% for the food sales.
- As there are many cases of mismanagement in the past those are now only reported, Auditor of the Club should be changed.
- New Ordinary memberships should be publicly offered and the applicants be selected on lottery basis if many applications are received. AGM should be informed of the selection criteria.
Thanking you,
Deepa Tidke
